St. Michael is one of the archangels mentioned in the Bible, the commander of the heavenly army and the executor of God’s will on the Last Judgement Day. He is most often represented as a warrior conquering the Satan. St. Michael embroidered on the dalmatic is holding a palm branch and a victory flag with a cross. The Latin inscription at the bottom reads: “Praise the Lord, you his angels” (Ps 103, 20).
