Embroidery with metal and silk threads, appliqué

The décor of the chasuble is an example of Historicism that emerged in the first half of the 19th century and repeated the features of the previous styles. The ornament with Gothic or Byzantine elements is embroidered in the appliqué technique with galloons. It is combined with flowers embroidered with silver and coloured silk threads, typical of the 18th century.
